OK, well these pics will come as no surprise to anyone as I tend to put my favorite cards in my sidebar, but I couldn't help but play along with Debby at Scrapjourney (and you can too!) cos I think its such a great idea to wrap up the year with your favorite cards. I think if I hadn't been separating my faves   as I went along it would have been extremely daunting sorting through them .

Dutch Dare ~ New Beginnings

Hello again! 

You thought you were rid of me, didn't you?

Well, you're not cos I'm back with a new challenge for Dutch Dare Card Challenges.

This fortnights challenge is all about

New Beginnings!

I'm using an image by Mo Manning colored with Prismacolors and paper by DCWV.

The sentiment was simply typed on the computer.

Awww, isn't she shweet???

Look at those cold pink toes....don't sniff em though. They're stinky!

Mo's DP2 Challenge~ Bless The Child and The Beast

Hi Guys!

This week's challenge at Mo's DP2 is :

Well it does have to be a Mo image, but other than that you got it!

I'm using an image by Mo and a quote I found on the computer which reads:

"If thine enemy offend thee, give his child a drum"

So cheeky but I love it.

Yes, it's another commission; a friend of mine is looking for thank you cards and so I made up a few new ones. I do like how this one came out. Soft and pretty.

Flower: salvaged from cheap silk flower boquet

Sentimental Sundays ~ baby

Good morning everyone!

Time to get your crafty things out and start playing again. Some of you have had FAR too much time off! lol

This week's challenge at Sentimental Sundays is something as far as far can be from snow and reindeer and fat old men with red pajamas .

 The theme is BABY!!!!!

Yay!

I am using a stamp by "In2Stamps" and colored with prismacolors.

Paper is from my stash. And sentiment is computer generated.

*PS) This was a scheduled post. Look what I just woke up to:

We've already lost electricity three times in the last hour. Its not a question of  IF its a question of WHEN it goes again. And when it does it could be gone a day or more. So if I'm MIA think of me here in the Sunny South buried deep in snow with no heat.:-)

Well the positive thing is that we had lots of company over yesterday and I am left with leftover pizza, soup, pecan pie and cranberry bars.

Hey, how do you think bears are able to hibernate for so long??

Oh a quick challenge or two if I can make it in time!

Nicecrane Designs ~ Birds Of A Feather

Hi Guys! 

Today I am using a new digi from Nicecrane Designs. Its from a set called "Adorable Children" you can purchase it here. Also he has set up a group over at CDAC and has all kinds of goodies and surprises for his new members so check it out!

So in case you were wondering from my un-Dorcas-like cards yesterday if maybe the body snatchers had got a hold of me, todays card is proof that they had not! lol 

But it was fun anyway!

I am using K&Co paper and of course, image by Nicecrane colored with prismacolors.

A Couple Thank Yous

 

Hi All!

I had a couple quick thank you cards to make today on comision . Fun, but obviously I had no time to color any images. But you know, its good to shake things up a bit now and then!

The sentiment is taken from Proverbs 17:17 and it says,

"A true companion is loving all the time and is a brother that is born for when there is distress."

I just printed it on the computer.

The paper is SEI and the dies are Nestabilities.

Below is a close up so you can see the metallic paper. I was beginning to wonder when on earth I was ever going to use this! lol

And the other card! This one I am using DCWV papers.

Not sure I like it or not. I really needed some more of that olivey brown paper for matting but didn't have any left. So I feel like it all melds together like food in your mouth.OK, that's gross! :-D
