It doesn't have to be a recent one it can be any at all. I'm using an older one from Mojo Monday and I have turned it on its side to make this "scrap card". (Yup! Using my scraps again!)

I just LOVE this cat! Reminds me of my Gingerboy after his morning feed...or was it his mid-morning feed? Or maybe lunch?? Or snack?? Breaktime??

Paper: MME Stella and Rose "Gertie"
Border Punch: Martha Stewart

And the inside which reads:
"We're so happy when surrounded by cake, I mean, friends"

Swine Flu

Hi Everyone!
Ok, maybe swine flu is a thing of the past but allergies still rule!!
This week's challenge at The Kraft Journal is:
Use Your Stash
No problemo mi amigo!
Ive got lots of stash and I do like to use up some leftover bits every now and then, too. So Ive been saving my remaining bits of cardstock from  81/2 x11 sheets of cardstock that I make a 51/2 x51/2 cards from (which leaves a length of 3x11). I just score those 3x11s in half and make small notelets like this one.

Recipe:
Colors: Prismacolors and Lyras
Lunch Bag Kraft (for coloring)
Paper: MME "Fine and Dandy Girl" and "Market Street"
Punch: Martha Stewart
Dies: Spellbinders
White Gel Pen (for faux stitching)
button (from stash)

So I hope that inspired you a little bit today, I'll be looking out for your creations this week and hope you can play along with us at The Kraft Journal!

I will admit that this card doesn't look very "sunny" per se' but I decided to play on the "April Showers" theme by making a support card for a dear friend going through some "gloomy weather" right now.
Of course, there are flowers on here too so the rain has produced something. :)

Spring Is In The Air

Hi Guys!
Well ,SPRING IS IN THE AIR at the Kraft Journal!
This week we want to see all your Springy projects. I got to thinking that Spring for me means hearing all the frogs and crickets again, I just love to listen to them although it can get quite deafening sometimes, living on a large pond. There's got to be about 100,000 frogs and every one of them has something important to say. :)
Anyway, they're cute. :)

Recipe:

Colors: Prismacolor Pencils
Papers: MME "Breeze" and "Sunshine"

Thats it from me today!
Happy crafting everyone!!

Kitty Love

Hi All!
I hope you all have had a nice weekend. :-)
Do you know I just found this card in my drafts? As most of you know I like to work ahead on my DT projects, so its no surprise when I have six or seven drafts going on at once. Anyway, I was thinking, when on earth is that card due anyway? Its been sitting there for ages!
Lo and behold it wasn't made for any challenge, I just made it cos I wanted to and never posted it.
Well I say that's a good deal, especially since I have nothing else I can show you right now! Besides I'm rather partial to this card. Its my colors you see and you can't get a much sweeter image:-)

Happy Day

Hi Guys!
This month's challenge at Bunny Zoe's is a sketch which I turned upside down:
bunny zoe's sketch

Recipe:
Digi:   Bella the Baker
Ribbon: From stash
Sentiment: TLC
Sentiment Die: Spellbinders
Papers: DCWV
Colors: Prismas on Kraft

By the way, here's something cool to know:
Does this digital stamp look different to you? It is actually sold as a birthday stamp. But I needed a wedding/anniversary card so this is what I did:
I opened up my digi in Paint.net and simply erased the candle on the cake as well as the sentiment.
Its the beauty of digital stamps that you're able to do this and get so many more uses out of them. :-)

Challenges:
Creative Inspirations Paint -- Ribbons

Catch The Bug -   Punches or Dies
Craft Your Days Away  - Make your own flowers

Enjoy The Moment

Hi Guys~!
THis is just a little notebook I made for my daughter. She is going to use it as a kind of "autograph book" for all her friends to write in.
I'm using an image by Wags And Whiskers called "Thinking Of You". You can buy it from Bunny Zoe's Crafts here

Most of the ribbon is from my stash but the white ribbon is from Sew Sweet.
The paper is from my stash. The border punch is Martha Stewart and the pearls are a gift from Uli. Thanks, Uli!
The notebook I bought at a local dollar store.
The image was colored with Lyra Rembrant and Prismacolor pencils. (I mainly used lyras but I needed a more opaque white for the blouse which was where the prismacolors came in. Also I used the prisma cream for highlights.)

I am using this card as my Catered Crop project, you can join in and follow the recipe here:
Here's your FTR20 recipe.
  • Colors – Soft pastels
  • Stamps and Stickers – Butterflies, flowers, sentiment
  • Color Mediums – crayolas, stamping ink,
  • Embellishments – ribbon, glitter, lace, rosettes, tag, rhinestones/gems, pearls, ribbon
  • Techniques – use your own handwriting, embossing, stitching, make a bookmarker
  • Tools –Die cuts, digital stamps
  • Themes –Shabby Chic
(I have highlighted the ingredients I utilized in red but you can use any of the ingredients you choose.)
This week we are sponsored by
