So Happy For You

So here I am practicing my ethnic skin on kraft again. I needed a celebration card for a black GF of mine and Ive always loved this image. I wasn't sure how she would work with dark skin but it actually turned out just fine so I am pleased.
OK! Down to business!
This week's challenge at Mo's DP2 is "Layers". Now at first glance you're gonna think this is a pretty CAS card but if you actually count the layers there are 8 of them. So see, I did get the memo afterall. :)

And a close up:
I'm using my usual Prismacolors and Lyra Rembrants on kraft cardstock.

Thanks so much for coming by!
Have an awesome weekend:)

You are practicing your skin colouring? Gosh, it's perfect and I wish I could do it like this only on white paper! Smashing card ... as always, Dorcas!

Hi Dorcas! I know you'll appreciate that I'm pounding this out on the old desktop...my laptop has a bunch of viruses (despite my Anti-Virus program! aacck!) so I won't get it back until the end of the week...at the earliest! I'm going crazy! OK...crazier!! haha! Your card is precious...and I love, love, LOVE your ethnic skin! Seriously, is there ANYthing you can't color? Your pencil work is divine! And I am pea, PEA green with envy! I keep practicing!! You've been in my thoughts alot these past few days. Hope you're hanging in there!! I can't tell you how much I enjoy being a Co-leader with you!! Hugs. Pat

They do say practice makes perfect, but wouldn't have thought you needed to practice lol. We mortals are just never satisfied are we lol. Colouring awesome as always, but particularly like the hair (little mad on colouring hair, I have so many images with only the hair coloured lol), and the lovely frilly dress. Hugs lin
