ADFD Sparrows

I know what you're thinking.
You're thinking I'm trying to hide my last post. Now what makes you think something like that? How do you all know me so well???? lol
OK well I like this card better. I made this for a friend who lost her home in the tornado two weeks ago. Its a Day For Daisies image colored with Prismacolors and set with DCWV papers.

I have used Nesties for the frame and heart shaped sentiment, which was just printed on the computer. I thought I had saved it , in which case I would share it with you but I can't find it so I'll have another look later on.

Ah! Found the sentiment!
Just click to enlarge, right click and save. Or go to my free sentiments box located on sidebar and download from there. Enjoy!

Phindy's Place ~ Glitter, Glamor and Glitz

If you only knew how much trouble this card gave me!! I could scream just thinking about it!!
It was one of those cards I just couldn't get into and it sat on my table haunting me for about a week til I made myself put it together whether I liked the finished result or not. And do I?
Uhhhhhh,. not really!
But its not hideous. lol Not like that purple and teal monstrosity a week ago. lol
Anyway, the challenge this week at Phindy's Place is:
Glamour and Glitz

Perhaps that was the trouble. When I think of glamor and glitz I think of female cards, girly and such. So why did I choose a graduating mouse? I don't know. To be different I guess. It was a" pink sky and blue cotton candy moment". :-)
I thought the glittered book pages would be really cool but I had to ditch one image cos I really messed it up and tried again with this one. Its not perfect but are you feelin it?
OK, don't answer that!

Look forward to seeing your glittery creations!!

DDCC ~ For Mom

Hi Everyone!
The challenge this week at Dutch Dare Card Challenges is to make a card or project:
for Mom
Everyone's Mom is different and so we expect to see all kinds of variety this week.
Now my Mom loves sheep.
 She LOOOOOOOOVES sheep.
 She LOOOOOOOOOVES LOOOOOOOOOVE LOOOOOOOVES sheep.
OK, I think you get the picture? lol Good!
Cos that will explain all the pics I had to take of this tissue box I made using the Doodle Pantry's sheep images. (which are stinkin cute by the way!)

I can't actually remember which paper I used, DCWV is always a good guess.
I colored the sheep with prismacolors.
Below you have each side of the box:

And some close ups of the images:

I think that's it!
Remember you can find a tutorial for making your own tissue box in the tutorial section of this blog.

Kitchen Nightmare

Hi Everyone!
Today's card I made just for fun. (love those kind!) Ive been drooling over Mo's new images and just had to sit and play with them yesterday. Love this domestic Diva gone wrong!
Ive used prismacolors to color and DCWV papers.
The sentiment is from Raindrop Echo Designs.

It reminds me of an event not long after we were married when I made a casserole (which came out PERFECT by the way, but who can argue with me at this point lol) but slipped on the way to the table and the whole casserole dumped on the floor. It was not a happy evening. For me. My husband was very understanding and sweet. I can't remember what we ate....

And a close up:

The sentiment. Perfect, isn't it?

A few challenges:

Stamping Scrapping Central -  - Anything Goes

Just Ducky

This is a long post, be forwarned!
When I lost my duck eggs last week due to the tornado, the lady who I bought them from very kindly sent me 18 new ones for just the cost of shipping. I thought that was so sweet I wanted to make her a card.

I chose this digi which Arielle (The Wax Fruit Company) made from my suggestion a couple months ago.
You're a sweetheart, Arielle!
I colored with Prismacolors and used papers by S.E.I.
The Punch is MArtha Stewart

The sentiment inside was created by TLC. Thanks, Paulette!

And since its Springtime and I'm so happy for the warm weather, I thought I'd share a few pics of what's happening in the garden!
The greenhouse (uncovered for summer):

The vegetable garden all laid out for spring planting with some seeds coming up:

Not looking like much yet, I'm afraid.

Some of "the gang" below. You can't see him because he blends in but next to the white ducks (Wally and Polly), is Golly the black runner duck.

The house from behind. You can see that Lucy the cat got in the picture. :-)

And springtime means that some of my favorite flowers are in bloom! Irisis!

Get Hippity with Ippity -- Spring/Summer

Phindy's Place ~ 1 Year Anniversary Blog Hop/ Paper Piecing

*If you've come here for the Carnival Hop click here , if you've come for blog candy click here , otherwise you're right where you should be!

Hi all!
Well I hope you're not all sick of hopping and have your pogo sticks at the ready cos today we have a hop for you starting at Phindy's Place.
If you've come here from Tine's blog you are so on top of things! If not, I guess you better go back to start and start at the beginning. Always the best place to start. ( Except with books,in which case read the last page first! You might not like how it ends).
But you'll sure to love this ending as Phindy's got three prizes to win!

Now here's what to do!
All us DT members have a mystery word hidden in our post. And let me tell you what it's for
are you listening? Did you get that? Do you know what the words are for???? lol
You need to collect our words and at the end of the hop leave a comment on Phindy's Place telling us the mystery sentence. And just in case you were contemplating cheating ,you can't. Phindy is hiding the comments from view. Ha! So there! You all are gonna have to work for it! :-D
OK, well I guess I should say a few words about this card!
I am using a Phindy image colored with prismacolors and paperpieced which, by the way is the theme of this week's challenge at Phindy's:
Paper Piecing
I am using paper by DCWV and cheap lace from "by the spool".
the sentiment is from TLC.
Below is proof that I am still finishing the inside of my cards. :-)

OK!
So the next stop on the hop is Kathy!
Get hopping! Can't wait to see all your paper pieced projects this week too!

Mo Meets Zoe ~ Carnival Blog Hop!

Hi Guys!
This is a long post so grab some potato chips, ok?

Clowns,Cotton Candy, sticky fingers, hyper kids , blue tongues and  sore feet .. Where are we?
 THE CARNIVAL!!
Hopefully you have just hopped on over from Lisa.
If you just popped on by to say hey and want to join us on the super carnival hop then you’ll want to ‘START HERE

Zoe from Make it Crafty and Mo from Mo’s Digital Pencil, came together to share the delight and fun of The Carnival. To celebrate - the two fabulously talented teams have come together for a massive blog hop to offer you plenty of inspiration when playing with these images.

Along the way you will find balloons with a letter in them. Write down the letters as you go because at the very end we want you to guess what the saying is!

There will be THREE grand prizes randomly drawn from the correct answers PLUS there will be hidden prizes along the way so make sure you leave some love as you hop along!

Now we know this is a super big hop, but we wanted to make sure you would get LOTS of inspiration! The hop will be open until the 28th April so you will have plenty of time to come back each day with a cuppa to soak it all up! (Just don’t lose the letters you have been collecting!)

We would like to thank our fabulous sponsors, Mo’s Digital Pencil, Make it Crafty, Stamping Bella and Quioxtic Paperie
for providing the fabulous prizes for this grand carnival hop!

Now to the card! I paired a background from make it crafty with Mo's Fat Lady which I merged on Paint.net (directions for merging can be found in my tutorial section)   and colored everything with prismacolors. Fabulous fun! I paperpieced the fat lady's clothes and I swear that the polkadot placement was unintentional. lol
The ticket stubs are digital stamps from Raindrop Echo Designs.

The sentiment was my own just printed on the PC. Its a common expression down South where I live "Just put on your big girl pants and deal with it". lol I thought it fit.Literally. :-)

So have you found my letter????? Its a T :-)
OK! So make sure you leave some lovin along the way for a chance to win!
Your next stop along the way is Lydia who I happen to know for a fact has some awesome eye candy for you!
But before you go and while I have your attention,  I do have your attention right? If not , focus, I'm a talkin to you! lol I have something else to share!! Take a look:
Yesireebob! A new $1 image, all proceeds going to charity.  You can purchase it here. And how cute is this sweetie!
I showed my daughter the new image and she said, "Oh what is it? A tornado? Oh! Its cotton candy!" lol The poor thing has had tornados on the mind, but it does kinda look....nevermind!
I pulled a card together using the new image just to whet you alls appetite.

Why BLUE cotton candy??
Well, for one I was feeling in a contrary mood. Thus the pink sky as well. (It is the end of the day though, so the sun is setting....) Also , I got to thinking and it seems to me that kids generally choose the colors that cause the most neurological damage. And what color can be worse than blue?

A sentiment that I created in word.
