Just Ducky

This is a long post, be forwarned!
When I lost my duck eggs last week due to the tornado, the lady who I bought them from very kindly sent me 18 new ones for just the cost of shipping. I thought that was so sweet I wanted to make her a card.

I chose this digi which Arielle (The Wax Fruit Company) made from my suggestion a couple months ago.
You're a sweetheart, Arielle!
I colored with Prismacolors and used papers by S.E.I.
The Punch is MArtha Stewart

The sentiment inside was created by TLC. Thanks, Paulette!

And since its Springtime and I'm so happy for the warm weather, I thought I'd share a few pics of what's happening in the garden!
The greenhouse (uncovered for summer):

The vegetable garden all laid out for spring planting with some seeds coming up:

Not looking like much yet, I'm afraid.

Some of "the gang" below. You can't see him because he blends in but next to the white ducks (Wally and Polly), is Golly the black runner duck.

The house from behind. You can see that Lucy the cat got in the picture. :-)

And springtime means that some of my favorite flowers are in bloom! Irisis!

Challenges for my card:
Craft Your Passion - Show us your layers
Crazy Challenge - - 3 different papers
Get Hippity with Ippity -- Spring/Summer
Make it Monday - Anything goes
Creative Inspirations - - use a Digi.
Stamptacular Sunday - At least 5 layers
Creations by Gill M - - Birds in Your Garden
Drunken Stampers - Farm Animals
Little Claire's  - - Animals
Make it colorful - - Black Hair/Fur

Thanks for visiting!!

Dorcas, what a lovely card. I love the stitching and all the papers you chose for the card. It was so thoughtful of the lady to send you some more duck eggs. There are some wonderful people in this world! Hope life is back to normal after the storms. One hit here in St Louis on Friday, but we are fine. Wow, you have a wonderful backyard pond and garden. Thanks for sharing a little bit of your world. Have a happy day.

Extremely sweet card! Love the colors and your coloring of the ducks!
I bought these digis a while ago, too, but wasn´t in the mood to use them until now... my idea was paper-piecing, because I´m not really good in coloring pics :-)
What a large garden! You don´t have to buy any vegetables, do you?!
Thanks for sharing all those pics!
Hugs,
Uli
