Phindy's Place~ Humor / Cafe Chat

Well when I colored this picture in I was thinking of all sorts of things these ladies might be saying....
"Can you believe what we used to wear? I wouldn't be caught DEAD in that now!" lol
Isn't that how it goes?
The styles of today become the fashion disasters of tomorrow?
Anyway, the theme this week at Phindy's is
And I wish I could laugh at the hassle this card threw me while I was making it! First, I picked out my paper (always a mistake in my book!) and then when I was all finished coloring in my image to fit my paper, it just wouldn't meld. The paper was too busy. So back to square one, looking for paper to match my image. Finally I decided on just a strip of this striped paper. It ties it in without being too busy.
In saying that, I find the card a tad boring....

I hope you can play along with us this week!
Hugs all!

No sentiment today?!?!??
Your suggestion what the ladies might be saying would´ve been a very humorous sentiment!
But I love your cards anyways... they are very funny most of the time! I admire that gift of yours!
Wish you a great weekend!

Oh Dorcas, don't be stressed out about your card. It's gorgeous and with fab colouring as always. Hey, you know I always pick my papers before I start to colour, but each to his/her own. Just do what works for you.

Your commentary about the card is funny. I know there are some outfits, or colors at least that I look back at and wonder "What was I thinking?" Your card is great. Hugs, dj

your coloring is always wonderful! I often dont add a sentiment - let whoever is sending it write what they want!
I also pick papers first...and then sometimes NOT LOL..whatever the mood...
your card is adorable!

Nope, totally non-boring card in my books - the calm background actually lets the eye rest on that very detailed image - I LOVE mrs. Comfy stamps!

I don't think it is boring either! I think it is the perfect amount of color. Sometimes the paper can overwhelm the image, so this work out perfectly. I love skewed panels and the two colored ribbons work great too! The image is quite funny! That is us in a few years girlfriend! Thinking we r quite hip and happening! LOL! Anyway... great card with your usual awesome coloring!

Not in the least boring, there is way too much going on in the image for anyone to find it a boring card. Love the striped paper edging. Really great image. Hugs lin
