Seaside Rendezvous

Hi Guys! Todays card i'm not sure if I love or hate. I'm trying to "step outside my comfort zone" but its not ..uh..very comfortable. lol  Notice there are no ribbons. no buttons, no flowers no stitching *gasp*! Someone hold me down! OK, well the only reason there's no stitching is because I ran out of white thread but the rest was deliberate!

front view:

My recipe:
DPs : assorted from stash
Mesh: Magic Scraps
Gems: Recollection
3D sticky pads: Recollection
Colors: Crayola Crayons and copics (for skin)

A close up:

and detail of the fishing net:

I would like to enter this in:
Play Date Cafe: Rust/ Yellow Ochre/ White
Aly's Sunday Challenge: Under or By The Sea

Dorcas, it's good to go out of your comfort zone and you did such a great job doing so. I know if I don't have pearls, bling or sparkles on my cards, everyone thinks it's an imposter doing my creations!! LOL!

Your image is so, so coooool and I love your coloring. The highlight for me is the great mesh you used. I really love it!!

Thanks SO MUCH for joining the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge this week and I hope you will come play with us again next week!

Hey Dorcas, I love the faux-netting in the background of this one, very 'seaside'-y!

Dorcas, you did a fantastic job on this card. The image gives a very "vintage" feel, and I am shocked not to see your signature sewing, but the card still is lovely. Have a great weekend. Hugs, dj
