Brothers

Hi Guys!
Well I'm pulling double duty this week with this card, combining two challenges and using it for both my DT sample for MO's  Digital Pencil whose theme this week is:
For The Boys
and Dutch Dare , which is a sketch:
The image is, of course, by  Mo Manning and the papers are assorted from my stash.
The pin is Tim Holtz and the baker's twine is from "The Twinery". Some cool stuff, right there! :-)

And the usual close up:
I have to say I am not crazy about picking out my papers before I color. See, this is what happens. You have an image with a VERY limited color palette. I felt QUITE cramped! NOT FUN! As you can see, I had to throw the red (in his shoes) in there just to spite convention! lol

So that's it from me today!
I really appreciate all you guys stopping in to visit and leave encouragement. I have the BEST group of followers EVAH! You guys are really deserving some FAB blog candy! Shame I don't have any. lol
No, hang on...I may have some bits layin around somewhere.... now where did I put those.....so when is my blogaversary anyway??  Stacey! Help!!

Challenges:
The Crazy Challenge: eyelets or bradz
Incy Wincy: For the boys
OLLCB: Its a man thing
CES: Men only
Fairy Tale: For a child

According to your blogoversary counter 59 days! LOL We have to wait til May. We can wait if you can! LOL Great card! I think you did great with the colors. What do I know, I am a bit matchy. The red shoes are great. Love how you got that shine on their hair and back. Reminds me of Tommy and Joey!

Just GORGEOUS Dorcas!!! Even with you feeling cramped for colour! I'm like you - tend to colour first and pick papers later - most of the time! But when I'm stuck the colours on a pretty piece of DP are great inspiration!

This is such an adorable image, your card is just perfect and I like the red shoes. I have to pick dp first and then color, it would take me forever to find dp to match what I colored. I love the little pin with the bakers twine.
Have a great day. Jovi

This is gorgeous Dorcas! I love how you have made the sketch work... I was looking at the sketch before I scrolled down thinking wow that looks tough! I'm with you on picking papers beforehand... I feel like I should, but then I never end up doing it.

Fabulous card Dorcas - love your colouring and choice of papers. Always a tough call for me - papers first or Copics first? Only problem is, if I choose my Copics first, I can NEVER find the toning papers. Hugs, Sylvia xxx
