Just Daisy

Hi Guys!
Ive got a simple card to share with you today. Sometimes you need a card suitable for "all occasions" and this stamp/ design fits the bill. I kept decorations to a minimum and just let the image be the focus. (nothing new there!) The 6x6 paper packs I'm using work so well in tying it all together. Love my 6x6s!!

Recipe:
Colors: CarbOthello pastel pencils on Strathmore pastel paper

*A note on pastel pencils:
Although they can be used on kraft and other papers they really do work their magic best on "Pastel Paper". With "normal" paper the pigment almost sits on top and you have to be so careful you don't just brush it all off with a careless movement. But with "proper" pastel paper the color settles into the paper fibers like butter into a biscuit. So creamy and blendable and nice.
You can find pastel paper at most arts and craft stores for about $7 for 25 sheets. I'm sure there's cheaper and more expensive options out there but this is what I use.
Hope that helps!

Oh my goodness, what a perfect card! I've never thought of adding small multiples of paper lines from a pad, simply brilliant! Hope you don't mind if I borrow this idea,Most of my card blanks are a tad smaller than my DP pads and I always end up with tiny strips that I usually end up punching flowers from. This is a much better idea!.x

The pastels look amazing! They seem like you said, to settle into the paper more than the pencils. But I still love your pencil coloring. Those daisies look like I could reach out and touch them. Gorgeous card Dorcas!
