Mo's DP2 Challenge ~ Playtime

OK so first things first. Today's challenge at Mo's this week is
Playtime.
And  now its time for a "first time", so I hope you'll all be kind to me. :-)
Today was my fist time in producing an AA card, that is an image with ethnic skin tones.
Yikes! I have to say it was scary!
But Trina told me to bite the bullet and I couldn't go far wrong as there's so many tones out there I'm bound to land on one of them. lol
Soooooo.....

Trina, have I landed???
Well its not bad... I could've used a few more layers perhaps but the paper wouldn't hold any more and I was afraid of the  "one step beyond" catastrophe occurring. lol
I am still practicing, so the next one, theoretically speaking, should be better. :-)
A close up of all the chocolaty goodness.

So! there ya go. On to the next "first time!"
I hope you can join us at Mo's and like I said, be nice to me ;-)

Dorcas

Oh, Dorcas, don´t worry! Your coloring is always awesome - for my eyes it´s perfect! Love the "chocolaty" buttons and the vintage look of the card!

Hey Dorcas,
I think the skin tone looks great! It's tricky to get it right, but I have a lot of friends with that skin tone :)
So well done!

You totally succeeded in my book anyway!!
I've been working on colouring up one of Mo's Bellas and I bloody can't get the face right - I think I might just give up and use the not-so-good-at-all version.
Oh, by the way, you have a typo in your headline here, double "i" in "playtime". :)
Hugs
Annika

I think this is amazing. I don't know how you do it, but the colouring, backing paper and all gives this smooth look because they are always matching.

I love visiting here, snooping around and trying to carefully absorb how colouring pencils come to life in your hands. x

Dorcas, I don't know how I missed this post in Reader. I'm so happy you left me a message to come check it out! I think you did an excellent job; I'm so happy you decided to step out! (You are one of the best colorers/colorists (?) I know. I really had faith that you would knock this out!)

Hi Dorcas,
Beautiful card. The skin tones look beautiful. I've been looking through your blogspot to see what technique you are using to do these cards on craft card stock. Couldn't find it...chalks, copics??? Love your work!!E.A. (Sissy) Faulkner ncc2139@live.com
