Mo's DP2 Challenge ~ Baby

Hi Guys!
It's time for a new challenge at Mo's DP2. The theme is BABY.
For today's card I used two Mo images and merged them.
(For those of you interested in how to do that in Paint.net you've got to check out Deb's fantastic tutorial here)

This finished image came very close to being "binned". I just couldn't stand the purple pajamas. Stacey was over at the time and she said it would be fine once I got my papers sorted. But Stacey, if only you knew how close that image was to being trashed once you went home you would've died (cos you saw how many hours it took me!) The pajamas were actually the last thing I colored so alot hung on them.
In the end I decided well, what have I got to lose? I'll find some papers and if I still don't like it, I'll trash it.
(my daughter's been known to fish through my scrap trash bin for good reason.lol)
But she was right. Once the papers were there it all kind of came together.

But I still don't like the pajamas!

Mo's got lots of cute baby images so hop on over to the shop and maybe you can play along with us this week!
I would like to enter this in these challenges:
Peachy Keen: sketch
Ooh la la: Pink
Stamps R Us: For the girls
Dir Cut Dreams: Spring garden scene
4 Crafty Chicks: Stitching
Shelly's Images: LOts of layers
The Rubber Cafe:  Sewing

Gorgeous card!!! I might need to come over and dig around in your trash, too. LOL. I can't believe that you were really thinking of trashing it. I will check out the tutorial. I had forgotten to give you credit for the sky on my card, so I went back in and sent everyone to your tutorial. Hugs, dj

P.S. Anytime you get the urge to trash any other images, put them in an envelope for me. LOL.

What´s wrong with the pajamas?!??
Your card is very sweet and your selfmade flowers always match so wonderful!
I´m happy, you didn´t "bin" it :-)

Those Pj's look just fine, especially with the matching flower embellie! Great card! Julie x

Oh, she's adorable Dorcas. So you found your papers after you coloured her? That to me is living dangerously!! LOL. Image, layout, papers, embellies in that strict order for me every time. Nowt wrong with having purple pjs.

Get over it, Dorcas, lol - your pajamas look wonderful. Sometime when we're 'too close' we don't see the big picture. I LOVE your soft coloring (yes, even the pj's) and the sky is fab! Wonderful job on the card, all around! Thanks so much for participating in the Stamps R Us challenge this week. I, for one, am GRATEFUL you didn't scrap the image !

Let me try this again! Sorry Dorcas.

Don't you dare trash it. If you do I will have to email your hubby and tell him to kick you in the pants. Lol! THis is gorgeous! I love everything about it. You never have a bad card day. Your work is utterly trashfree. Only treasures here. Lol.

Dorcas, I laughed at you not liking the purple pj's. I struggle with liking purple, I just don't. Your card is beautiful and the crochet flower makes it all work!!! Great Challenge card.

Hi Dorcas...you crack me up!! I can totally relate to wanting to trash an image midway through...that happens to me often...but when I power through, I'm generally pleased that I did!! I love how you've combined images...so dang adorable! And I think your purple jammies are delightful!!! Perfect for sleepy little Sage!! Hugs. Pat Frank
