Kids Will Be Kids

Hi Guys!
A quick little card to show you, using an image by Mo Manning.
I've had a busy week with my Mum and Dad visiting so haven't been crafting but this is a card I made a while back for a Mo challenge that ended up getting changed around because of the blog hop we had. Its all good. We need spare cards for times like this! lol
I'm using paper by DCWV and all my coloring is done with Prismacolors.

Punch is Martha Stewart and the die is a nestie that I cut into a bit to make it look more "bone-like".

I would like to enter this in:

Ps) my 15 baby ducklings that I ordered will arrive this week sometime. I will take pictures of the sweeties and share them ASAP.
(I do have eggs waiting to hatch too, but that will be in about two weeks)
Meanwhile I am still trying to root out all the snapping turtles from our pond which is proving a gargantum (sp?) task. This "safe" trap I have which doesn't kill the turtles is apparently not as foolproof as they let on.

I caught one small turtle yesterday (about 7 or 8 inches long) and left him in there as it's supposed to draw more turtles into the trap but this morning when I checked the trap the fish I put in was gone and so was the turtle. So if that dinky turtle got himself out well.....man, I could scream. We have 8 ducks left .At least 4 or 5 of my "old gang" had "gone missing" one by one and of the 8 we have left, 4 limp with turtle injuries.
A snapping turtle will, unfortunately, kill even adult ducks. I've seen them so I know.
As much as I want to "have a heart" and be kind to the turtles, I'm feeling my options dwindling as I love my ducks. Especially as new ones arrive on the scene.
Sorry to go on and on...I'm a bit obsessed. lol

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi there, thanks for popping by my blog. Love your card above, and am intrigued about your turtles & ducks. It sounds like you have a fun garden! Back to your card now, love that image & your beautiful colouring of it. Great use of border punch, (that's a lovely one,) & a very clever home made bone! Jx

This is adorable, it's funny how kids always play with the box, and not the toy. Looks like he's having a blast.

Hi Dorcas. This one nearly sneaked passed my radar. Lovely card whenever it was made! Hope your parents stay went well. Think the word you are searching for is 'gargantuan' and it does sound like an up-hill struggle to rid yourself of the snapping turtles. I look forward to seeing the new 'babies' when they arrive.

I didn't know about turtles killing ducks. That is so sad that you've lost some of your little feathered friends. I that your new little ones thrive.

Your card is darling...it is such a cute image. Just love the Mo images and your use of them.

Gorgeous card. I love the way you did the background papers and then stitched them. The little boy is precious. We actually have a picture of Noah in a box and Lang dragging him around. I'm having computer issues again. I can't access my desktop computer now, so I'm having to use Lang's and it's a pain, since it's got such a small screen. Hugs, dj

Hi hun

Im with you on clearing the pond, I love my ducks too. We're getting some new Muscovy and indian runners this summer.

I'm not looking at your cards. lalala lol, banned myself from doing that for a few weeks as my studio is almost all packed up for the move to the new studio next week. It's only the opposite end of the house but its a lot of stuff & has to be moved/unpacked & opperational as quick as I can do it so I dont loose to much work time.

Better luck with those dern turtles soon I hope !

Hi, Dorcas! Your card is adorable and I couldn't tell at first that you used Prismacolors instead of Copics. Your shading is so smooth. Man, those snapping turtles are wreaking havoc on the poor ducklings aren't they? Bad turtles! I used to have ducks and geese and I love them too so I hope you find a way to resolve the problem before all the new babies arrive.
