Phindy's Place ~ Going Around In Circles

Hi Again!
So today my project was made for the weekly challenge at Phindy's Place which happens to be:
Going Around In Circles
Its perfect for me cos I usually feel like thats what I'm doing. lol
So I thought that this vintagy type image really lended itself to the homey muted colors of a circle quilt. I think it worked out quite well.

My recipe:
Papers: DCWV
Image: Phindys
Dies: Spellbinders nestabilities
Buttons: From stash
Pop dots

And a close up:

Dorcas this is such a great card. I can just picture a grandmother making pies for the family; I can even smell the kitchen with all the wonderful smells. Beautiful work as usual. Hugs, dj

Hum...nothing like a nice warm pie coming out of the oven especially if you have some nice vanilla ice cream to go with it. Absolutely Beautiful.. and just to let you know you aren't the only one going around in circles.

Hugs

What an old country charm this card has. You have made the card resemble a quilt which is so perfect for the image. Absolutely beautiful card! Lots of stitching too which you put lots of work into that is for sure....just makes it all so perfect!

"worked out quite well" is the understatement of the century!
It worked out fabulous! This circle quilt is such a unique and pretty idea - and I love that granny-image - can smell the scent of the pie and the bread :-)

Oh Dorcas this is amazing. Love the quilt circles, every time I try to sew around a circle it is a major disaster. Beautifully colored as always, and love that charm. Need to check out charm barn! Great creation as usual.

Dorcas, the quilted circles is pure genius! I love the image and the memories it brings back of my grandmother who was the best piemaker in Iowa -- if not the whole midwest! I haven't shopped Phindy's for awhile, but now I am off to take a look. Thanks for the inspiration.
