Not Too Shabby

Hi Guys!
Well its time for a new monthly challenge at Bunny Zoe's! And I always say its easy peasy but look, I'm an honest person. So I'm gonna tell it to you like it is. This challenge had all my nails bitten off ~so brace yourselves.
Shabby Chic
Eeeeeeek!!!
But I don't DO Shabby Chic!!!!
Or maybe I do, like this:
Oh sorry, that's shabby chick!! See, this is complicated stuff!
I honestly didn't have a clue where to start. And I'm not exaggerating when I say that this little monstrosity took me ALL DAY!!
The shabbifying I can do, Its the chic part that throws me. lol
Anyway!
I'm sure you all will rock it, don't let me put you off! :/
I admit that the tearing things apart was rather cathartic...:) I just wonder if I sent this to someone if they would "get the whole shabby chic" thing or if they would open it up and just be like, "What the heck is this mess? Man, the mail service is getting really bad, look what it did to this card!" LOL
Right,I'm done now, just had to have some fun! Enjoy my creation! :-/

LOL, Dorcas. Where on earth did you find your undressed chick? LOL Look, we all know that to be honest, most of the time only another crafter appreciates the time & work that goes into any card - let alone one out of your comfort zone. I think this is great - works for me.

I was there for this process so I do have to say you were a bit stressed, but it came out great! Has all the features to be shabby chic and looks fantastic too! The image is sweet, the coloring rocks, and the flowers & lace adds a nice touch!

Ha ha ha! You're a blast Dorcas, thanks for the laugh. I love your card, but I know what you mean about a recipient not 'getting it'. You did a great job though. Have a super day!

Think you got the shabby and the chic down with a pretty good chuckle thrown in there. If that card had come in one of the envelopes I got last week I just might well have thought that. It looked like the postman had played tug of war with a dog. The dog won and took his prize to his favorite mud hole. LOL Hugs!

I feel your pain Dorcas ... I also have a hard time "distressing" things. I like my papers all neat and pretty lol. But you did a fabulous job on this card, it's gorgeous.

Dorcas, Your card turned out great. I understand your stress about "Shabby Chic". I really don't understand the term. Your post was so funny...I'm still smiling.
