Phindy's Place ~ Purple and Teal

OK, well this is one of those cards that I just want to bury under several posts (which means it will probably win lots of prizes cos I hate it so much.) If it wasn't for the fact that I made it for our challenge today at Phindy's Place which, by the way is:
Purple and Teal
I wouldn't even have blogged it.
Arrggh I don't even want to look at it, everything about it is all wrong , but nevermind, all will be well when I bury it. lol

So the least said about this the better, but here's my supplies:
The papers are K&Co and the image is Phindy. Punch is Martha Stewart and the flower is my own. Colors are prismacolors, ok you're dismissed! lol

I can't believe that you don't like this card. I love it. But then purple is one of my favorite colors. I like how you used the dp, I have some of the same paper, and I hadn't figured out exactly how to use it. Hugs, dj

What's wrong with it?!!!
Did you really cut all those little flowery bits out by HAND?!! And then stick them on by HAND!!?? You girl, must have the patience of a saint! Love the colour combo and the cute 'icckle piccie. Have a fab day (or night, don't know what time it is with you guys right now!)

I know what you mean - I felt like this in the past, too... but when I have such a project, I give it to my aunt - she always likes it and is a very grateful receiver :-)
So, I´m pretty sure that many people think that your card is super cute and pretty (like I do) - let me suggest to choose a thankful receiver and forget about your unloved card :-)
Have a nice weekend, Dorcas!
Hugs,
Uli

I want you to stand in the corner and think about what you've just said! This card is lovely, I think you're seeing something different to me. Go and write this card is fab, 100 times and then report to me. xxx

I know you struggled with this, but it is quite cute. I'm afraid this will be another purple pajamas, here to haunt you with win after win, so there will probably be no burying it. The image is adorable. The coloring, fab as always! You got the colors down, the paper is pretty, the MS punch is a great detail, do I need to keep going?

WHY don't you like it Dorcas ?? Like all your fans,I can't work out why you hate it so much. When I can make 'hateful' designs like this I will be happy but in the meantime I will just be happy to look at your gorgeous work instead. Hugs x

Hi Dorcas. When I see that K & Company paper it reminds me of my Aunty Kathleen as I scrapbooked her wedding page with it. LOL. Can't think why you hate this one at all & I like the decoupaged flower over the corner. Now, if you want to hate a card go to mine!!!!LOL.

Hey Dorcas, I think your card is lovely. I'm not a big purple fan myself and I really struggled with this one. But I think you combined them so well and the result is very soft and pretty.

How can you hate this amazing card girl! That flower is just perfect and the whole thing looks fab. I thought the combi was difficult, but when I got started it went ok...

It's real weird how we sometimes take an intense dislike to our own handwork for no particular reason. This card looks perfect to me - but I know how you feel and therefore won't argue :)

I don't care if you don't like your card, I will like it for you. I think you captured the colour scheme perfectly. I love the lilac branch, especially since my lilacs are in bud as we speak. Can't wait for the wonderful aroma.

Hi Dorcas! So sorry to hear about the bad weather over there. I am so glad that you are ok. I have been looking at this card and i can`t understand what`s wrong. I think the colours are great and the colouring fabulous amd those cutouts are delightful, so i can`t see the wrong...lol. Hugs....Mona

Okay, I'm not going to pretend to understand what you find objectionable about this card as I find it both tasteful and sweet. But sometimes we see things in our own work that others don't see because they didn't take part in the creative process and may not understand what we find aesthetically pleasing or artistically "correct". They also can't see how we, as the artist or crafter, envisioned the design in our own minds. So I do understand where you're coming from with your comments. Does that make any sense at all or am I so tired I'm just rambling? LOL Anyway, you're entitled to hate your own card if you wish!

Have a great week!
Anniebee
