Your New Roost

So this must be the week for sketches cos I've got another one for you!
This week at Phindy's Place we're challenging you to use the following sketch:

Sketch+AM003a
At first I was thinking it rather difficult but that's cos my eyes kinda crossed when I was looking at it and I envisioned another stripe in there. lol Hey ,hang on just a cotton pickin minute.... maybe there is another stripe in there! Good grief I think I did it wrong. Oh ! No I didn't. *phew*. I'm using my punched borders as the top and bottom stripe. Sometimes its like looking at one of those Escher pictures that can be two pictures in one, you know the type? Is it a vase or two silhouettes....if you cross your eyes just right you can see both , just don't let the east wind catch you!

OK, so onto the card!
I made this for one of our friends who lost their home in last month's tornado. Their house remains have now been bulldozed and they'll be rebuilding in the next few months, so I thought this was perfect. Lets hope they do!
Recipe:
Paper: DCWV
Punch: Martha Stewart
Metal Corners: Wild Orchid Crafts (thanks, Iulia!)
Image: Phindy
Colors: Prismacolors on Kraft Cardstock

And the inside! Aren't I doing well finishing my cards?
*clap clap clap*

And yes, you are welcome to snag the sentiment as always. Just click, right click and save or go to the Free Sentiments box in my sidebar and download the size you want.

Wow Dorcas that is just fabulous and Im sure your friend will love it. Sorry to hear that she was unlucky to loose her house in the tornado, it must have been so upsetting, I do hope when they rebuild that they make it less to easy to blow down. hugs Shirleyxx

This really is a hard sketch to crack! I would have never taken up the challenge :))) You did a fantastic job with it! I'm sorry for your friends' houses :(. Tornadoes must be spooky! I never saw one. In the worst case here it rains heavily and we have ice and thunders and lightnings...it's scary but doesn't damage much :P

How thoughtful of you to make this card for your friends. Losing their home is really tough but I guess the most important thing is that they are alive. Love your kraft coloring- looks fantastic and the image is just perfect. I bet this card lifted a bit his spirits. Lovely corners too:)
