So, like Samson of old , in a weak moment I revealed to you all in a previous post the source of my creative genius :
Mallow Cups.
Problem is, I risk losing all mojo as the one franchise that sold them is "closing them out".
Calamity!
50% off, No more MALLOWS!
NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
Guys, this is serious! How can they do this to me???
I have only one thing I can do.
Simply put, I have to go to all Kangaroo gas stations and buy up their mallow cups.
I will admit I get looks of "puh-leeze" from many cashiers but some true smiles of sympathy from others. It is a little embarrassing walking into a store, going straight for the candy bars and grabbing the whole box, but like I said, deperate times call for desperate measures.
I have about 35 individual packs as we speak. If I ration myself very carefully I could make that last what? 35 weeks? And by then they'll probably be out of date sooooooo...
thanks goodness for chocolate covered blueberries!!
I sure wish you could all taste them, they're heaven in a handful. And hey, If you don't live anywhere near central North Carolina you just might be able to find a Kangaroo that I haven't been in yet and buy one or two.
But from one girlfriend to another.... buy the box!

Dx
I´d follow your advice if I only could! Because now I´m so nosey what´s so special about these sweets...! :-)
Hugs,

Don't worry, I'll send you some Tunnocks Tea Cakes, which I think sound quite similar!

Oh you make me laugh! I'm glad I'm not the only chocolate obsessed crafter!!!
Dare I confess that I drove Peter mad whilst in the US looking for Hostess Snowballs (never did find any of those scrummy litle beauties) - our UK Snowballs are big gooey Marshmallow balls covered in chocolate and coconut (no cake)
Enjoy your Mallo Cups
Jane
Never had these, but now want them, even though I know It would kill me if I ate them lol. I also used to love the Snowballs mentioned in the previous comment. Have to love that gooey mallow. Hugs lin
Oh no!! If I knew that I would have changed your blog candy present! Since we have very different tastes in chocolate there is no competition, so I will check our end of town. I will even do the embarrassing task of buying the whole bow. The length we go through for our friends!! Just don't want you to loose your mojo! If it were me and I know chocolate is in the house I don't space it out and I become the house!
Oh no, Dorcas, you poor thing! What will you do now? I have a similar predicament. I loooove "Charleston Chews" They are a chocolate covered soft, gooey, nougatty kind of bar. You don't see them in all the stores, so when I do I usually buy 2 or 3. (I'm like Stacey, if I bought the box, they'd be gone in a flash) If you could find those in your part of the world, give one a try, I think you'll be glad you did. In the meantime, I'll be thinking of you. You're a hoot! Love it!
Luv, Babs
Yikes girl, will look this side of the eart if we have anything remotely the same, will let you know, The attendance in the store should know better than to say anything to mallow starved crafter........lol
lotsa luv
You can buy them online directly from the Boyer company.
They look so yummy pity I have never tried them! Hugs Rebekah xx
Hon, there are several on-line sources if you get really desperate! LOL!
Oh my goodness! I feel your pain. When I was pregnant I had a craving for two things. Turkish Delight. I had to plan my walk home each day so that I could pass the maiximum amount of shops to buy one in each shop, as I was embarrased to buy five at once! Jam slices. Yummy. The baker discontinued the line mid pregnancy. How rude. And I was hormonal, talk about living life on the edge...
xxx
My friend is from VA and she mentions them all the time Her hubby is a corporate pilot and every time he goes back there she MAKES him bring her some Mallow Cups. I'd never heard of them before. I think I'd love to try them though. Bet one bite and you are HOOKED! LOL
take care.
