"Priscillastyles" Oil Lamp Card

Hi All!
Today's card is a little different for me. I'm not used to using images that I haven't done much coloring to. This is a digi by Priscilla, her store is here. I chose to paper piece the lamp because I wanted a "Blue Willow" china effect. Not sure how well I succeeded but it was an interesting exercise!

And a close up below of the sentiment taken from Psalm 119: 105

and the lamp...

Now you can 't see it very well, but I actually added a little red gem on the flame which looks pretty real  in real life but not so noticable on film. I also stuck some bling around the edge of the glass and the wick nob.
Below is my mess I achieved while making the card!

Actually no, let me ammend that, this mess was just from the image! I'm not showing you the mess from the card! lol
I would like to enter this in:

Your card is lovely. Of course, that's one of my favorite Bible verses. I really like the affect on the lamp. Hugs.

Wow! You did your thing girl! The paper was a perfect choice! Can't go wrong with MS Punches! And it qualifies for a bunch of challenges! Who knew! Great job!

Hi Dorcas, beautiful card. Love how you did the lamp, it's very effective. Do you print the image onto your patterned paper when you are paper piecing....I really like the look of the technique. Fantastic work. hugs

Hmm which bling, which bling...so hard to choose... Ha, your desk looks like mine. No matter,as long as you post a gorgeous picture of a finished card, nobody needs to know the journey that it took to get there :) Wonderful colors on this card and I like how the image panel has a candescent glow around it, just like the lamp. Super card, my friend, as ususal. No time for mopping today!

Great job on the oil lamp Dorcas. I like the colour theme you chose and the paper-piecing, combined with the MS punched work well together.

Hey Dorcas,
I really like this card! And the paper-piecing works well on the lamp.

Thanks for letting me know I won; I can't believe it!!!
So sad that Donna's closing the shop though :-(

Dorcas, my mistake! I thought those were the new pencils from Prismacolors! Spot the difference was just sort of a joke, cos those gems were on the different places. That's all. :)
