WOYWW

Once again, its WOYWW! So what's on YOUR work table today? Mine is covered in cards waiting to have their butts stamped.

If you look close you can see my notepad where I have all the daily challenges sketched out and jotted down. And below is my personalized name stamp all inked up.
This (above)  is one of my card baskets. It was full to bursting. So that I also have a box full of finished cards on the floor. (below)

Crazy, isn't it? Well it was getting so ridiculous, I finally bit the bullet and went to a shop in town to see about selling some of my cards. Turns out the proprieter likes them very much and wants some in her store.  She's starting a new shop on the other side of town and would love to have a greeting card maker. (Its a homeade giftshop type place) So.......exciting and scary and fun all at the same time. I hope we can work well together as I really need to get these cards moving! I think many of you can relate to that. :-)
Have a great day everyone and thank you all so much for you comments and support.

Hey Dorcas,
Oh that's SO exciting!!! I'm so pleased for you - hope it works out with this lady!
They're lovely cards and it'd be great if you could make back some of your materials-costs!
Keep us posted on how that goes!!!

Love, Tasha x

Congratulations!! That is so cool. I have been wanting to try that forever. Just makes me nervous. Plus, I don't know what to charge, etc. We store our cards the exact same way. :)I love the paint on your walls too. It reminds me of our home back in Oregon. Sometimes I miss it there so much. :) Hugs to you and good luck.

Wonderful news hun :0)
I used to sell to a local shop until it changed owners...the new owner wanted me to pay her a £1 for every card she sold for me....I only sell my cards for £1.20 as it is and she wanted a £1. I really need to get my butt in gear and find another place to sell them, I was thinking of opening an etsy store :0)
*hugs* Heather x

Well done Dorcas, the old bullet biting - it paid off! Don't be scared! I can realte to a box full of carefully made and wholly unused cards. Here's some advice tho - go in and regularly rotate the stock...they get bent and sometimes dusty and sometimes are put in direct sunlight so some papers fade..keep 'em looking fresh all the time - the store keeper will appreciate not having to do it, and you will soon get an idea for the styles that are and are not selling. And don't be offended about the ones that don't sell - right card, wrong audience! Good luck!
